Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addresses UN General Assembly on global injustice

During the 81st United Nations General Assembly, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech addressing global injustice, lawlessness, and the oppression of the marginalized. He utilized poetry by the late Sezai Karakoç to emphasize that silence in the face of injustice does not resolve the underlying issues, stating that even if people remain silent, history and truth will not.

Erdoğan specifically highlighted the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, describing it as a place of immense suffering and noting the high rate of child amputations. He pledged to continue advocating for the rights of the oppressed and the voiceless on the international stage.

Justice Minister Akın Gürlek, speaking from New York, noted that the speech was met with applause from various delegations. Gürlek emphasized that the President’s message reaffirmed Turkey's stance of standing alongside the oppressed in every forum.
