Recklinghauser Straße in Ickern Remains Closed Until Late June

The main road Recklinghauser Straße in the Ickern district of Castrop‑Rauxel is fully blocked and will stay closed until the end of June. The closure follows a daytime break caused by damage to the public sewer system that created a large hole in the pavement.

Repair work is underway, extending the construction zone slightly beyond the intersection with Malterscheidstraße. The EUV city services have arranged detours via Borghagener Straße, Römerstraße and Lange Straße and have warned that temporary parking spaces are unavailable. The park pool Nord remains accessible through the signed detour routes.

The city authority expects the repairs to be completed by late June, after which traffic conditions should normalize.
