Brazil's Record television network faced strong competition from SBT's "Programa do Ratinho," which recorded a 4.52‑point average audience on Monday, surpassing Record's viewership by about 40%. The show also achieved its highest Monday rating since September 2025, according to Ibope data.

At the same time, Record broadcast an exclusive live match of the Brasileirão between Botafogo and Santos, marking the league's return after the World Cup break. The match aired nationwide on Record's free‑to‑air channel, R7, and the streaming service RecordPlus, featuring commentary by Cleber Machado, Dodô, Maurício Noriega and Sálvio Spinola, with presenters Paloma Tocci and Bruno Laurence.
