Red Bull Racing F1 car to headline Riga showrun event

The Red Bull Showrun event is coming to Riga to celebrate the city's 825th anniversary. A central feature of the event is the Red Bull Racing RB8 Formula 1 car, the vehicle used by Sebastian Vettel to secure his third consecutive world championship in 2012.

Scheduled for August 15 from 14:00 to 16:00 at Eksporta iela, the show will feature demonstration runs piloted by former F1 driver Patrik Frugher. Rally driver Mārtiņš Sesks described the event as a unique gift to Riga's residents and visitors, offering a rare opportunity to experience motorsport up close.

Preparations are already underway, with a Red Bull Racing F1 car being transported via Riga municipal transport routes between August 10 and 14. Additionally, a 'Red Bull Showrun Village' will host various activities starting August 14.
