Red Bull Showrun event in Riga

Overview

The Red Bull Showrun is scheduled to take place in Riga on August 15 to celebrate the city’s 825th anniversary. The event will be held in the Eksporta iela corridor, running from Elizabetes Street to the Vanšu Bridge.

A central highlight is the demonstration of a Red Bull Racing RB8 Formula 1 car, the vehicle used by Sebastian Vettel during his 2012 championship season. Former F1 driver Patriks Frīzahers is slated to pilot the car.

Other scheduled participants include the Red Bull Driftbrothers, drift champion Adams Zalevskis, South African spinning specialist Samkeliso Tubane, and rally driver Mārtiņš Sesks. The event will also feature various stunt riders and drift pilots. A ‘Red Bull Showrun Village’ will host technical displays and interactive activities starting on August 14, while the F1 car is expected to be transported via municipal routes between August 10 and 14.
