Red Bull signs Robin Raikkonen to Junior Team

Robin Raikkonen, the 11-year-old son of 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen, has officially signed with the Red Bull Junior Team. The young Finnish driver, nicknamed ‘Ace’, is set to join the development programme in 2027.

Robin has demonstrated significant talent in karting, competing in national and international Rotax and WSK championships. Red Bull Team Principal Laurent Mekies praised the driver’s speed, racecraft, and maturity, noting that his goal is to support his development step-by-step without applying unnecessary pressure.

Kimi Raikkonen expressed enthusiasm regarding the move, highlighting the success of the Red Bull Junior Team in producing champions like Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel. The program aims to provide Robin with the necessary resources and environment to maximize his potential as he progresses through the motorsport ranks.
