Red Cross Leads Drowning Prevention Event on Senigallia Beach

On 25 July, the Senigallia Committee of the Italian Red Cross organized a public event at Maitai Beach to mark World Drowning Prevention Day 2026. Open to families and especially children, the programme ran from 10:00 to 12:00 and combined practical sea‑rescue demonstrations, interactive workshops for youngsters and brief first‑aid lessons.

The initiative, supported by the Municipality of Senigallia and local safety organisations, aimed to raise awareness of water‑related hazards, teach basic emergency responses and encourage safe behaviours on the beach, such as monitoring children, respecting lifeguard instructions and avoiding risky conduct in the sea.
