Red Cross partners with Italian firms on heat‑risk aid and energy discounts

EcoAmbiente Spa, the waste‑management operator in Salerno, signed a protocol with the Red Cross of Salerno to station an ambulance at its Battipaglia plant from early July through August. The unit will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing first‑aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation to employees and drivers during the heat emergency.

Cogeme Energia concluded a convention with the Italian Red Cross that grants volunteers and Red Cross staff reduced rates for electricity and gas. The agreement is presented as a way to recognise the daily contribution of Red Cross personnel and to support the communities they serve.
