Red River Revel Arts Festival celebrates 50th anniversary

The Red River Revel Arts Festival will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. The event is scheduled to take place at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport during two sessions: October 8–11 and October 15–18.

The Golden Anniversary lineup includes musical performances by Cowboy Mouth, Brady Blade & Friends, The American Tragedy with the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, Shinyribs, Better Than Ezra, and Windstorm. Cultural activities will feature interactive giant-puppet spectacles from Squonk’s Joy Machine, silent discos, and glassmaking demonstrations.

Executive Director Logan Lewis noted that the festival’s longevity is due to the contributions of volunteers, artists, and community organizers. Admission is free before 5 PM on Thursdays and Fridays, with a $10 fee at other times, though children 12 and under, military personnel, and first responders receive free entry.
