Red River Revel 50th anniversary celebration
Overview
The Red River Revel Arts Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana, through two sessions in October 2026. The anniversary lineup includes musical performances by artists such as Cowboy Mouth, Better Than Ezra, and Shinyribs, alongside cultural activities like glassmaking demonstrations and puppet spectacles.
To support the festival’s longevity, State Senator Thomas Pressly secured a $50,000 state appropriation, which has been signed by the governor. The final weekend of the anniversary celebration is scheduled for October 15–18 and will feature an appearance by Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser on the Chase Main Stage to honor the event’s five decades of cultural heritage.
