Red River Revel celebrates 50th anniversary in Shreveport

The Red River Revel is celebrating its 50th anniversary in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana, with a final weekend of events scheduled from October 15 to October 18. To support the festival's longevity, State Senator Thomas Pressly secured a $50,000 state appropriation, which has been signed by the governor.

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser is scheduled to appear on the Chase Main Stage on Thursday, October 15, to honor the festival's five decades of cultural heritage. The musical lineup for the anniversary weekend includes Better Than Ezra, Shinyribs, The Highland Collective, and Windstorm. The event features various art exhibits, workshops, and community activities.
