REDMAGIC unveils 5K MiniLED gaming monitor in China

REDMAGIC has introduced a new MiniLED gaming monitor during a launch event in China. The device features a 5K resolution with a 180 Hz refresh rate and includes 5,184 independent dimming zones, a high count for this technology.

The monitor offers a dual-resolution configuration, allowing users to switch to 2K resolution to achieve a higher refresh rate of up to 330 Hz. For HDR content, it can reach a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. To combat motion blur and image persistence, REDMAGIC utilizes a proprietary backlight progressive scanning technology.

The hardware includes an aluminum backplate and a transparent panel with RGB lighting. In China, the monitor is priced at 6,499 yuan, which is approximately 868 euros.
