Gaming monitor hardware launches

Overview

The gaming monitor market continues to evolve with rapid advancements in refresh rates and panel technologies. Recent developments highlight a push toward ultra-high performance, with Titan Army launching the U255L Ultra, a 24.5-inch Full HD QLED monitor featuring an 820 Hz refresh rate.

In the professional eSports segment, ZOWIE has introduced the XQ2566X and XQ2766X, which are 2K 360 Hz monitors optimized for large-scale FPS games. ASUS has also strengthened its competitive gaming presence, as its ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace was selected as the official screen for the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026.

Hardware releases from established brands continue to diversify the market. KTC is releasing the M27P6S, a 27-inch QD-Mini LED monitor capable of dual-mode operation at either 4K at 160 Hz or FHD at 320 Hz. Similarly, I-O Data’s GigaCrysta S line includes a 27-inch WQHD Mini LED and Quantum Dot model supporting up to 320 Hz. REDMAGIC has expanded this high-end segment with a 5K MiniLED gaming monitor launched in China. This device features 5,184 independent dimming zones and a 180 Hz refresh rate, though it can switch to a 2K resolution to reach up to 330 Hz.

Looking toward future manufacturing, TCL CSOT is reportedly developing OLED panels for 32-inch and 34-inch formats that could reach refresh rates of 700 Hz. According to market research firm Omdia, these would be produced at a Gen 8.6 facility in Guangzhou, China, utilizing Inkjet Printing (IJP) technology to reduce costs and waste. While official confirmation of the 700 Hz specification is pending, Omdia predicts significant growth in OLED monitor shipments through 2027.
