San Luis Potosí expands free RedMetro transit to Rioverde and Ciudad Fernández

San Luis Potosí Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona has launched the RedMetro Rioverde-Ciudad Fernández line, expanding free public transportation services into the state's Media zone. The new route covers approximately 40.9 kilometers with 24 stops and a terminal at Parque Los Azahares. The service operates with 12 BRT units, offering 15-minute frequencies from 06:00 to 21:00, with an estimated travel time of 90 minutes.

The route is designed to connect strategic points including the Regional Hospital, various educational institutions such as UASLP Zona Media and the Instituto Tecnológico Superior, and tourist attractions like Media Luna. This initiative aims to facilitate movement for students, workers, and merchants while providing direct economic savings for local families.

Additionally, the RedMetro Riviera Huasteca service is currently operating between Ciudad Valles and Tamazunchale. This system utilizes modern and electric units to improve connectivity and support regional tourism and economic growth in the Huasteca Potosina region.
