Redondela educational groups demand better resources and staffing

Educational associations and staff in Redondela are raising concerns regarding resource shortages and administrative failures at the start of the new school year. The Federation of ANPAs of Redondela has called on the local City Council to take greater responsibility for municipal competencies, specifically criticizing the four-year paralysis of the Municipal School Council (CEM) and delays in resolving dining hall subsidies.

Simultaneously, staff at IES Pedro Floriani have reported significant staffing shortages. Despite the introduction of a new Basic Vocational Training cycle, the center has not received additional teachers. This lack of personnel has forced the school to reorganize student groups, splitting Arts Baccalaureate students into different cohorts. The CIG-Ensino union has demanded that the Xunta de Galicia clarify its claims of increased teaching staff, noting that many centers report insufficient resources to meet current educational demands.
