Regenerative livestock initiatives promoted in Panama and Argentina

Agricultural initiatives focused on regenerative livestock and sustainable production are being promoted in Panama and Argentina.

In Colón, Panama, technicians from the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) participated in an educational tour of a 400-hectare ranch in the Unión de Piña community. The visit focused on regenerative livestock practices, including pasture conservation, soil regeneration, and water resource management. The training covered paddock rotation, genetic improvement through artificial insemination, and animal welfare to improve profitability while reducing environmental impact.

In Sáenz Peña, Argentina, the Grassfed Chaco 2026 tour hosted a session dedicated to soil management and sustainable production. The event included presentations on holistic management, buffalo ranching, and Grassfed certification protocols. Participants also reviewed the ‘Sáenz Peña Regenera’ municipal program and visited a vacuum-packaging plant to observe value-added processes in local meat production.
