Reggia di Caserta offers free entry on Aug 2 and launches merchandising partnership tender

On Sunday, 2 August, the Royal Palace of Caserta will admit visitors free of charge, provided they reserve tickets online or at the onsite box office. Admission covers the royal apartments and the park, while several interior rooms and the theatre remain closed. Ticket limits are set to five per online account and hourly entry windows apply to manage queues.

The museum also announced a public call for commercial partners to produce official Reggia di Caserta merchandise. The brand is already registered with the EU Intellectual Property Office, and the tender follows Italy’s public‑contract code. Director‑General ad interim Antonio Tarasco said the initiative will boost the monument’s international profile and generate new revenue streams for the cultural site, likening the effort to branding moves at Versailles and Schönbrunn.

Both measures aim to increase visitor numbers, enhance the palace’s global visibility, and support local economic development.
