Reggio Calabria appoints Daniele Romeo as vice‑president and Giovanni Laganà as director general

Daniele Romeo was appointed vice‑president of the IX Commission for Control and Guarantee of the municipality of Reggio Calabria. Italo Palmara, president of the civic association Reggio Futura, praised Romeo’s long‑standing political‑administrative experience and moral integrity, emphasizing the commission’s role in overseeing municipal activity and safeguarding transparency.

Mayor Francesco Cannizzaro announced the selection of engineer Giovanni Laganà as the new director general of the municipality. Cannizzaro highlighted Laganà’s extensive background, including leadership of the ANAS department in Calabria and a previous tenure as director general of the Calabria region, describing him as the best candidate to support the city’s administration.
