Reggio Calabria hospital pediatric ward undergoes visual redesign

The pediatric ward at the Grande ospedale metropolitano Bianchi-Melacrino-Morelli in Reggio Calabria has undergone a visual redesign to improve the psychological and emotional well-being of children and their families. Supported by the Reale Foundation, the project aimed to humanize the hospital environment.

The creative restyling was executed by the Turin-based studio Truly Design. The new decor features forest-themed illustrations, including foxes, owls, and badgers, designed to transform the clinical space into a more welcoming and fantastical setting. The installation also includes an interactive “find all our little friends” element, where children can search for hidden details and characters within the artwork during their stay.

Virginia Antonini, General Manager and Head of International Institutional Affairs at Reale Foundation, stated that the collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential for generating lasting value and creating environments that are more serene and child-friendly.
