Reggio Emilia: Four arrested for attempted vehicle theft

In Reggio Emilia, Carabinieri and Italian Army personnel participating in the ‘Strade Sicure’ operation intercepted four individuals attempting to steal vehicle parts in Piazzale Europa. The incident occurred around 05:00 on August 30, 2026.

The group, consisting of three men and one woman aged 27 to 45, was caught in the act of damaging and looting parked cars. Specifically, one 33-year-old man was observed attempting to remove a wheel from a Ford Fiesta with the assistance of a 27-year-old woman.

The four suspects have been reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Reggio Emilia on charges of attempted aggravated theft in concert and unjustified possession of burglary tools. Investigations are ongoing.
