Reggio Emilia Health Authority Showcases Primary Care Innovations at WONCA Congress in Paris
The USL‑IRCCS health authority of Reggio Emilia presented its primary‑care and research initiatives at the 30th WONCA Europe Congress in Paris (30 June–3 July). Delegates included Dr Federica Violi, Dr Barbara Gilioli, Dr Gabriele Gazzaneo and Dr Michele Mallamà, supported by the unit’s Qualitative Research and Citizen Science team.
Key presentations highlighted the transformation of the Casa della Comunità in San Polo d’Enza, a PNRR‑funded pilot based on the DM 77/2022 model, and the “Misurare ciò che conta” participatory research project that involves professionals and citizens in defining performance indicators. The RADICE (Research‑Action for Inclusive, Collaborative and Equitable Health Decisions) project, financed in 2025 with 5‑per‑mille funds, was also showcased, focusing on improving access and inclusivity for migrant communities.
These activities underline the authority’s emphasis on citizen participation, organizational innovation, and equitable health service design.
