Reggio Emilia police expel Egyptian national following scooter robberies

The State Police in Reggio Emilia have executed an expulsion order against a 22-year-old Egyptian national deemed a danger to public order and security. The individual, who was residing irregularly in Italy, was identified as being involved in a series of thefts and robberies committed using a scooter in the city center, often acting in concert with others.

The individual had previously been subject to an expulsion order and was held at a repatriation center in Milan. However, due to legal obstacles, the detention was not validated by a judge, and he was ordered to leave the country within seven days. He failed to comply with this order. Following his arrest by the Mobile Squad, immigration authorities verified his identity and facilitated his immediate escort to the border and subsequent repatriation to Egypt.
