Regional art exhibitions and calls for artists announced in South America
Various cultural institutions in South America and Europe are launching new art exhibitions and calls for artists.
In Río Grande, Argentina, the Museo Fueguino de Arte ‘Niní Bernardello’ has opened a provincial call for artists to participate in ‘Entinta’, a collective exhibition focused on printmaking and printed art. Applications are open to artists, students, and designers from Tierra del Fuego until September 24.
In Asunción, Paraguay, the Centro Cultural de España (CCEA) is hosting ‘Ojos que yo encendí’. This exhibition features 38 works by 21 photographers from Paraguay and Spain, creating a transatlantic dialogue on memory and creativity as part of the PHotoESPAÑA 2026 festival.
In Iquique, Chile, the Museo Regional de Iquique will host ‘Espíritu Libre’, an exhibition honoring the late artist Rafael Lara (1969-2024). The showcase explores Lara’s connection to the landscapes and traditions of Chiloé and includes community activities such as a lecture on printmaking.
