Regional authorities announce student scholarship programs
The City of Prijedor and the Lika-Senj County have announced public competitions for student scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year, focusing on social status, academic merit, and shortage occupations.
In Prijedor, the city has allocated 640,000 KM for scholarships. The program includes 55 scholarships for students in deficit occupations and 55 for high-achieving students. New deficit professions added to the list include forestry engineers, mathematics, informatics, and physics professors, as well as preschool educators. Electrical, mechanical, and civil engineers remain on the list, though medical doctors were excluded this year.
In Lika-Senj County, 17 scholarships will be awarded, each providing 200 euros per month. These are designated for students in fields with high local demand, including medicine, law, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, civil engineering, and various sciences. Applicants must be full-time students residing in the county. Both regions have set a 15-day deadline for submitting documentation.
