Regional authorities invest in road infrastructure in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina

Regional authorities in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have announced new investments in road and traffic infrastructure to improve safety and tourism.

In Croatia’s Osijek-Baranja County, officials signed contracts for the installation of pedestrian traffic lights in six municipalities: Vladislavci, Ernestinovo, Vije, Punitovci, Gorjani, and Semeljci. The project, totaling 197,000 euros, focuses on areas near schools, kindergartens, and health centers. Five of the six new signals will feature modern technology, including speed detectors that trigger red lights when speeding vehicles are detected.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Zenica-Doboj Canton has allocated 3.6 million KM for capital road infrastructure projects. These funds, distributed via public call, aim to strengthen tourism and local connectivity. Notable projects include 360,000 KM for the reconstruction of the Tišina-Mošćanica road in Zenica. Premier Nezir Pivić emphasized that improving road networks is essential to unlocking the canton’s tourism potential.
