Regional authorities launch initiatives to combat cyberbullying and school harassment
In the Junín region of Peru, authorities have introduced a Regional Action Protocol to combat cyberbullying among adolescents. Organized by the Regional Directorate of Education of Junín and the Flora Tristán Peruvian Women's Center, the protocol establishes institutional responsibilities and guidelines to prevent and address digital violence. The initiative aims to coordinate responses between educational institutions, families, and legal authorities to protect the emotional and social well-being of minors.
In Spain, the ColaCao Foundation and the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya have launched the “Les cares de l'assetjament” campaign to raise awareness about school bullying. Featuring public figures sharing personal experiences, the campaign seeks to break the silence surrounding bullying, noting that one in three victims never reports the abuse. The initiative has gained significant traction, reaching over 2.1 million views.
