Global school bullying and cyberbullying prevention efforts
Overview
Efforts to address school-based violence and digital harassment have emerged across different regions. In Peru, the Junín region introduced a Regional Action Protocol to establish institutional responsibilities for preventing cyberbullying among adolescents. Similarly, in Spain, the “Les cares de l'assetjament” campaign was launched to raise awareness about school bullying through public testimonials.
In Iceland, the Reykjavík City Council reported an increase in violence involving students and parents within primary schools. To combat digital threats, the Icelandic Police and various social organizations released an educational package for middle and high school students to mitigate risks associated with social media usage.
