Regional authorities launch inspections at Al-Shahr Port and Egyptian bakeries

In Yemen, a field committee led by the Deputy Governor of Hadramaut for Financial and Administrative Affairs conducted an inspection of Al-Shahr Port. The visit, ordered by Governor Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, aimed to enhance security oversight, combat smuggling, and address technical and administrative obstacles. Officials emphasized the need to maintain the port’s primary function as a fishing port while strengthening customs and security inspections to prevent the movement of prohibited materials and unauthorized equipment.

In Egypt, authorities in the Dakahlia Governorate launched a surprise inspection campaign targeting bakeries in the Mansoura district. Following citizen complaints, the campaign resulted in 27 violations being recorded. Issues included underweight subsidized bread, non-compliant production standards, unauthorized disposal of subsidized flour, and hygiene concerns. Governor Tariq Marzouk stated that legal measures would be taken against violators to ensure the quality and weight of subsidized bread remain consistent for citizens.
