Regional festivals and culinary events scheduled for August 22

Several regional festivals and community events are scheduled for Saturday, August 22, across Croatia and the Czech Republic, with a focus on gastronomy and outdoor activities.

In Pretetinec, Croatia, Gulašfest 2026 will take place in front of the Social Home. Organized by Udruga Međimurska gruda Dunjkovec in cooperation with the Municipality of Nedelišće, the event features goulash cooking starting at 13:00, with distribution to visitors beginning at 13:30. The program includes music and social gatherings.

In the Znojmo region of the Czech Republic, multiple events are planned:

• Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou will host the fifth annual Gulašfest at the local football field, featuring a goulash cooking competition, music, a fire show, and beer specialties.

• Nový Šaldorf-Sedlešovice will hold summer festivities including a goulash competition and a dance party with the group RYAN Music.

• Božice will host activities including walking and cycling routes, a children's program with bouncy castles, and a disco.

• Kubšice will serve as the starting point for 'Expedice za sousedy', offering various difficulty levels for walking and cycling routes, including a children's path, with cultural programs and prizes at the finish line.
