Regional fishing clubs host youth school and carp competition
Regional fishing clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia recently hosted community and competitive fishing events.
In Visoko, the Sportski ribolovni klub Visoko organized a ‘Mala škola ribolova’ (Small Fishing School) for children. Over three days, participants learned basic fishing techniques, fish species identification, and nature etiquette. The program concluded with a competition on the Fojnica River for U-10 and U-14 categories, where participants received fishing rods, permits for 2026, and diplomas.
In Croatia, the Športsko-ribolovno društvo Lendava held its 15th carp fishing gathering at Špišić Bukovica. Ten teams competed over three days, catching a total of 228.06 kilograms of fish, including carp and amur. The CT Spirit team secured first place with 33.30 kilograms. The largest single catch was an amur weighing 15.96 kilograms, caught by CT Sigma.
