Sport fishing activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croat

Overview

Regional fishing clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have been conducting various community and competitive events. In Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sportski ribolovni klub Visoko organized a ‘Mala škola ribolova’ (Small Fishing School) for children, which included a competition on the Fojnica River for youth categories.

In Croatia, the Športsko-ribolovno društvo Lendava hosted its 15th carp fishing gathering at Špišić Bukovica, where ten teams competed over three days.

Looking toward future competitions, the Sport Fishing Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SRS FBiH) announced the 2026 feeder fishing championship. Scheduled for September 5, 2026, at Modrac Lake, the event will feature team and individual categories. Individual rankings from this championship will help determine the composition of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League in the feeder discipline for 2027.
