Japan hosts diverse regional food festivals and local markets
Japan is hosting a variety of regional food festivals, markets, and culinary events across multiple prefectures. In Fukuoka, the ‘Zen-Nihon Umai-mono Taikai’ at Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin features 47 shops from 31 prefectures, including popular items like 551HORAI pork buns and Kagawa soul food.
Other notable events include the ‘Tokyo Shokushijo Matsuri 2026’ in Tokyo, which highlights Kumamoto Black Wagyu beef, and the ‘Zennikusai’ meat festival in Kitakyushu. In Osaka, Takashimaya is hosting a Hokkaido-themed gourmet exhibition featuring seasonal corn and scallops.
