Regional food festivals showcase local produce in Fukushima and Fukuoka, Japan

The Noraha Road Station set up a booth at the Kido River Ayu Festival in Naraha town, Fukushima prefecture, offering dried sweet potatoes, yuzu‑flavored items, cup ice‑cream and other regional specialties, alongside live ayu fishing and grilled fish.

In Fukuoka City’s southern ward, the JA direct‑sales centre opened a three‑day “Thanksgiving Festival” featuring high‑sugar (13 °Brix) watermelon sold at a discount of ¥200‑¥300 per fruit, a bean‑picking game for ¥200, and a free somen‑floating event on the final day.
