Regional governments in Rokan Hilir and Kuansing sign 2026 budget policy agreements

Local governments in Rokan Hilir and Kuantan Singingi have finalized and signed agreements regarding the 2026 changes to the General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Priority Ceiling (KUA-PPAS).

In Rokan Hilir, the regional legislative body (DPRD) and the local government reached an agreement despite fiscal pressures caused by declining fund transfers from the central government. The DPRD emphasized the need for the local government to increase regional original income through tax intensification and better management of local assets to reduce dependency on central government transfers.

In Kuantan Singingi, the Acting Regent and the DPRD signed the memorandum of understanding to ensure budget policies align with regional development needs and public interests. The agreement aims to provide a foundation for effective, transparent, and targeted regional budget management.
