Poland hosts regional health prevention and charity events
Various regions across Poland are hosting health prevention initiatives and charity events. In Bielsko-Biała, the XIII ‘Biegniemy z Mają’ charity run will take place on October 4, featuring three different routes to support children battling cancer, specifically Józio and Michalinka.
Multiple cities are organizing medical screening events. Elbląg is hosting a health promotion day with free mammography via a mammobus. In Szczawno-Zdrój, a festival focuses on physical activity and free medical consultations. Bydgoszcz, Toruń, and Ciechocinek are also conducting open hospital days and health picnics featuring oncology specialists and diagnostic services.
Other regional efforts include the ‘Przystań Zdrowie’ event in Ciechanów, focusing on mental health and well-being, and ‘Biały Tydzień’ in Bełchatów, which offers consultations regarding memory and Alzheimer’s disease. Additionally, the Specialist Hospital in Zabrze is providing free diagnostic screenings for head and neck cancers as part of the European Week for Prevention of Head and Neck Cancer.
