Regional initiatives launch programs to boost female professional development
Various regional initiatives are targeting increased female employability in traditionally male-dominated sectors.
In Peru, Atlas Copco has partnered with the Mining Technology Center (CETEMIN) to launch the ‘Inspirando a futuras líderes’ mentorship program. As part of the ‘Mujeres EmpoderAtlas’ initiative, ten selected students will receive eight months of strategic guidance and professional tools from Atlas Copco executives in fields such as finance, business management, and occupational health and safety.
In Chile, Terminal Pacífico Sur (TPS) Valparaíso has launched a professional Class A5 driving course for ten women in Valparaíso. The program, developed in collaboration with Fedequinta, the Valparaíso Municipal Labor Intermediation Office (OMIL), OTIC Sofofa, and the Automóvil Club de Chile, aims to qualify women to operate heavy trucks, addressing labor demands in the logistics and port sectors.
