Regional initiatives target gender violence in workplaces

In Bolivia, the company SOBOCE has been awarded the 2025-2026 Silver Seal for being a “company committed to a life free of violence against women.” This state recognition, established by Supreme Decree No. 4779, is coordinated by the Ministry of the Presidency and the Vice Ministry of Equal Opportunities, with technical support from the German Cooperation (GIZ). The award recognizes companies that implement internal policies to prevent gender violence and promote safe work environments.

In Mexico, the state of Guanajuato has launched a training program for 280 public servants in legal and human resources departments. The “Training in Labor Matters with a Gender Perspective” aims to identify and eliminate power inequalities, discrimination, and harassment within the public service. The initiative, coordinated by the Secretariat of Women and the State Legal Counsel, seeks to ensure that reports of violence are handled without prejudice or revictimization.
