Powerball jackpot rises to $905 million ahead of Monday drawing
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $905 million for its upcoming Monday drawing, following a Saturday night drawing that failed to produce a grand prize winner. This makes the current prize the eighth-largest in the game's history.
While no one claimed the top jackpot, several players secured significant smaller prizes. A ticket in Texas won $2 million through the Power Play option, and four other tickets in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, and New York each won $1 million by matching five white balls.
Winners have the option of receiving the jackpot as a 30-year annuity or a one-time lump-sum cash payment, which is currently estimated at approximately $392 million before taxes. The odds of winning the jackpot remain 1 in 292,201,338.
The game has recently expanded its reach, with Powerball tickets becoming available in the United Kingdom through an agreement between the Multi-State Lottery Association and Allwyn UK.
