Regional musical festivals celebrate traditions in Croatia and Slovenia

In Croatia, Siniša Biško won the fourth edition of Lika Festa held in Gospić as part of the Autumn in Lika celebrations. Performing the song ‘Velebite’, Biško secured first place following a jury evaluation. The event, hosted by Branko Uvodić, featured various new performers and was attended by local officials, including Lika-Senj County Prefect Ernest Petry.

In Slovenia, the Glasbene mladine ljubljanske (GML) marked the 50th anniversary of the Jesenske serenade (Autumn Serenades) in Ljubljana. The milestone began with a celebratory concert on September 3, 2026, featuring various chamber ensembles and soloists. The event also served to recognize long-term partners and organizers who have contributed to the musical cycle since its inception in 1977.
