Regional nutrition programs focus on school and community dining improvements

In Venezuela, the second state congress of the Cocineras y Cocineros de la Patria was held in Girardot, Aragua. The event brought together educational representatives and the National School Feeding Corporation (CNAE) to evaluate nutritional plans for schools. Discussions focused on strengthening the National Plan Venezuela Alimenta Hambre Cero to ensure food security and sustainable, healthy meals for students across 1,200 schools in the region.

In Mexico, the Chihuahua State DIF distributed kitchen equipment to four school and community dining centers in Valle del Rosario, Meoqui, and Valle de Zaragoza. With an investment exceeding 600,000 pesos, the initiative aims to provide nutritious meals to vulnerable populations and students. This includes support for the Mawuechi Kindergarten, Eloísa Flores Primary School, and the CREI Héroes de Nacozari, as part of the NutriChihuahua and School Breakfast programs.
