Regional service updates in Burkina Faso and France

In Burkina Faso, the Eaux et Forêts (Water and Forests) service conducted several operations between September 21 and 27, 2026. In Bobo-Dioulasso, agents provided first aid to an accident victim before notifying firefighters. In Zamo, a combat unit seized prohibited items in the Kalio classified forest valued at approximately 4,363,500 CFA francs, including mercury, detonators, explosives, pharmaceuticals, and cannabis. Additionally, in Sirgou, the Ouanobian unit assisted in restoring a village water pump to service.

In France, the SYMBHI (Syndicat mixte des bassins hydrauliques de l'Isère) is organizing an awareness week regarding the Drac river from October 5 to 10. The program includes guided tours of dikes to explain flood prevention and biodiversity protection. Scheduled events also feature roundtables at Cosmocité and Seyssinet-Pariset to discuss the river's ecological evolution, historical land management, and flood crisis management, accompanied by film screenings.
