Macedonia and Montenegro unveil delegations for Mediterranean Games

Macedonia and Montenegro have officially presented their delegations for the upcoming 2026 Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy. The Macedonian Olympic Committee announced its largest delegation to date, consisting of 130 members, including 88 to 90 athletes competing across 19 sports. Macedonian officials emphasized that the committee has provided full logistical support, including professional recovery and psychological assistance, to ensure optimal performance.

Similarly, the Montenegrin Olympic Committee held a ceremony to send off its 55 athletes participating in 13 sports. Montenegrin President Dušan Simonović noted that the games serve as a vital testing ground for athletes preparing for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

In other sports news, Macedonia's national broadcaster, MRT, confirmed the country will return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2027 in Bulgaria, following a hiatus since 2022. Additionally, Montenegro is celebrating the centenary of water polo with a commemorative match in Herceg Novi featuring legendary players and current national team members.
