Regional traffic safety campaigns launch to protect children
Regional authorities and community organizations in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are conducting traffic safety campaigns to protect children as the new school year begins.
In Nova Gradiška, Croatia, the Autoklub Nova Gradiška organized the 17th annual ‘Safe in School with HAK’ event. The initiative uses games, workshops, and practical exercises to teach kindergarten and primary school students essential road safety rules. The event involves various local partners, including the police, the Red Cross, and local fire departments.
In Zvornik, the Emergency Medical Service of the Dom zdravlja Zvornik has joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska in the ‘Protect Children in Traffic’ campaign. The initiative urges drivers to reduce speed near schools and kindergartens to mitigate the risks posed by children's natural curiosity and inexperience in traffic zones.
