These sessions featured police lectures on safe road crossing, seatbelt use, and hazard recognition, while also introducing children to official police vehicles to build trust. Additionally, the 31st annual ‘Respect Our Signs’ campaign used games and exercises to teach children how to navigate crossings and recognize signs. In the Primorje-Gorski Kotar region, approximately one hundred students at Jelenje-Dražice Elementary School participated in the ‘Program prometne kulture za najmlađe’ (Traffic Culture Program for the Youngest). Organized with the company Jumikar, the fire department, and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Police Administration, the initiative used outdoor simulations of pedestrian crossings and signs. Izabela Linčić Mužić, head of the Administrative Department for Maritime Affairs, Transport and Communications of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, noted that the program aims to expand from the Gorski Kotar region to include islands in the coming years.
