Regional training initiatives launched in Chile for educators and farmers

In the Atacama Region, forty English teachers from the provinces of Huasco, Copiapó, and Chañaral participated in emotional wellbeing workshops. Organized by the Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Education through the English Opens Doors Program (PIAP), the sessions focused on stress management, self-care, and emotional regulation tools to foster positive learning environments.

In the O’Higgins Region, avocado producers received specialized training to manage orchard damage caused by frosts in August. Organized by INDAP, the sessions in Peumo and Pichidegua provided technical guidance on orchard recovery and agronomic decision-making to help farmers mitigate the impact of recent extreme weather events.
