The State Agency for the Regulation of Delegated Public Services (AGERGS) in Rio Grande do Sul is launching a public consultation and hearing regarding the economic-financial rebalancing of the Rota de Santa Maria, the concessionaire for the RS-287 highway. The process addresses the impact of extraordinary increases in road construction material costs caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine. Contributions can be submitted between September 23 and October 14, 2026, with an online public hearing scheduled for October 14.
In Portugal, the Water and Waste Services Regulatory Authority (ERSAR) has announced a new Tariff Regulation set to take effect on October 11. The regulation aims to harmonize water service tariffs across different municipalities to promote efficiency and financial sustainability. While the new rules establish common standards for defining and updating tariffs, entities have until January 1, 2029, to fully adapt to the new norms.
