Reisz Gábor's film “Földszint” opens at Hungary's CineFest after Venice premiere
Director Reisz Gábor's fourth feature, Földszint, had its world premiere in the Venezia Spotlight section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival on 3 September. The film will make its Hungarian debut a day later, 4 September, as part of the official competition at the 22nd CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival, which runs 4–12 September.
Földszint is a Hungarian‑Italian co‑production created independently and partially funded through a crowd‑support campaign. It is produced by Berkes Juli of Proton Cinema, with cinematography by Becsey Kristóf and a screenplay co‑written by Reisz Gábor and Schulze Éva. The story follows bank archivist Kristóf (played by Tompa Ádám) who discovers a mould spot in his ground‑floor apartment on the day he learns he will become a father, and spends the ensuing hours investigating the cause. The festival line‑up also includes performances by Józsa Bettina, Bacskó Tünde and others.
