Relai reaches US$90M valuation following US$2.5M funding round

Swiss Bitcoin application Relai has secured US$2.5 million in a new funding round, bringing the company’s valuation to US$90 million. The round included participation from existing venture capital investors and two new backers: Swiss finance influencer Fabio Marchesin and German author Marc Friedrich.

Relai intends to utilize the new capital to enhance its mobile application, strengthen its cybersecurity and artificial intelligence capabilities, and facilitate expansion within the European Union. Marchesin will serve as an advisor on marketing and regional positioning in Switzerland and Europe, while Friedrich will advise on brand development in Germany.

The company plans to launch a redesigned app and introduce new features to its Bitcoin savings plans by the end of the year. Relai operates its European business through its French subsidiary, Relai EU SASU, which holds a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the AMF.
