Release Athens festival moves to Markopoulo Complex

The Release Athens music festival is moving to a new location at the Markopoulo Complex, situated within the Olympic Properties in Markopoulo, Attica. The venue is designed to host large-scale concerts and festivals, offering flexibility for high-demand productions.

For the 2027 edition, the festival will feature two stages, including one housed under a 4,000 square meter tent to accommodate more artists and provide a shaded environment for attendees. The Californian alternative-pop band The Neighbourhood is confirmed as one of the first headliners, performing in Greece for the first time on Friday, June 25.

The new venue includes extensive parking facilities and is accessible via the Attiki Odos motorway and the Koropi metro station, which will be connected to the site by shuttle buses.
