Reliance Jio launches low‑cost JioTV Pro add‑on and Rs 799 prepaid plan in India

Reliance Jio introduced a Rs 55 JioTV Pro add‑on pack that gives subscribers 30 days of access to more than 1,000 live TV channels, including over 150 premium high‑definition channels from broadcasters such as JioStar, Sony, Sun TV and Warner Bros. The pack supports content in more than 16 Indian and international languages and provides a modest 10 MB data allowance for app navigation. Sports channels are excluded, and users must have an active data or Wi‑Fi connection to stream.

The company also rolled out a Rs 799 prepaid plan offering 1.5 GB of daily data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and complimentary access to Jio apps like JioAI Cloud and JioTV. The plan is valid for 84 days, does not include OTT or 5G benefits, and reduces speed to 64 kbps after the fair‑usage limit is reached. Both offers are aimed at budget‑conscious Indian consumers shifting to mobile‑first entertainment.
